The venue for Spacefest 2009 (Feb.19-22) will be the Town & Country resort. This place used to be the convention center in San Diego, until they built the new one by the bay. If you're allergic to roses, watch out, as the grounds are full of them, 1500 bushes, as well as other plants, trees and flowers. The 27-hole golf course is right next door. A huge mall, Fashion Valley, is in back. The San Diego light rail transit station is also in back and it's RIGHT off interstate 8. It has a world-class spa, four pools, several restaurants and cafes, a sports bar, 1000 luxurious sleeping rooms and even a car rental.

Rooms for us are $148 (reg.$175-$200+ ) And that rate is good for 3 days before and after Spacefest. We suggest you make a vacation of it, since there's much to see and do, and San Diego is a popular vacation destination, and the Town & Country resort is central to it all.
